Assessment Title
Assessment One – Developing a Presentation

Task Description

This is an individual assessment for both on-campus and off-campus students. In this assessment task you will develop a PowerPoint presentation related to the learning topics in weeks one to four. Along with the PowerPoint presentation slides, you will provide scripts and a handout for audience.

You will include scripts as part of your PowerPoint presentation, that is, what would be said if you were giving the presentation in front of an audience. The scripts should show clearly what would be said or discussed as each slide is presented. The scripts should be included in the ‘Notes’ section of each slide. Regarding the handout, it should be designed as a supplement for the presentation including the main points of presentation. Explore the ways of using it to facilitate communication and to engage audience.

Assessment Criteria

Your presentation will be assessed on the demonstration of knowledge / research findings and understanding of the topics as depicted through the content of the submitted slides, scripts and handout. You will also be assessed on presentation structure, appearance and design of presentation materials. Please refer to the Moodle Unit website for specific requirements and marking criteria for this assessment. You should learn to study, research and do your own work. If your work is found to be copied from other source, plagiarism penalties will be applied as per the University’s policy.

2 Written Assessment

Assessment Title
Assessment Two – Case Study

Task Description

This assessment is worth 40% of the total available marks for this Unit. In this assessment task, you are going to work in a group to study, research, analyse and prepare a report responding to a case study. Details of the case study, description of the tasks and the requirements will be made available on the Moodle Unit website. If you have questions in regards to this assessment task please consult your campus Lecturer or Unit Coordinator.

Submission: Group or Individual (further guidance will be available in the Unit Moodle page).

As students are given the opportunity to select their group members, separate groups are not created for this assessment task. Hence, all group members are required to submit the same assessment through the Moodle submission link. Please refer to the unit’s Moodle site for a detailed description of the task.

Assessment Title
Assessment Three – Solve Problem

Task Description

This assessment task is worth 40% of the total available marks for this Unit. One of the aims of this assessment task is for you to apply theories to solve problems. In this assessment task, you are going to work in a group to study, research, analyse and prepare a report responding to the specified tasks in solving problems at a case study situation. It includes practical research on the current marketplace for potential ERPs and vendors. Details of the case, description of the tasks and the requirements will be made available on the Moodle Unit website.
